Vancouver man allegedly critically injures toddler

0629 toddler assaultVancouver, Wash. – Police have arrested a man who they say severely beat a toddler at a Vancouver, Washington motel Tuesday night.

Portland NBC affiliate KGW reports 32-year-old Vancouver resident Kyle Stephen Holder threw his 2-year-old daughter out of a window at the Sunnyside Model, then picked her up and threw her to the ground repeatedly before stomping on her head.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said when deputies arrived they found a witness had stopped the attack by hitting Holder with a baseball bat.

Deputies said Holder was out of control and had to be tased in order for him to be taken into custody. He was booked into the Clark County Jail on a charge of attempted murder.

The 2-year-old victim is in the hospital listed in critical condition.
