Wanted man arrested after standoff

Medford, Ore.– Neighbors on Berrydale Avenue were on edge Wednesday afternoon after Medford Police and SWAT went looking for a wanted man.

32-year-old Christopher Linder had been wanted by Central Point Police since July.

Medford Police said a tip lead them to the apartments at 297 Berrydale Ave. When they arrived Linder was not cooperating. Due to his rap sheet, MPD said they called in SWAT.

After about one hour of guns drawn, Linder finally gave in when police busted out the front window of the apartment he was in.

Linder was living with a man, woman, and their son. NBC5 tried talking to them but they had no comment.

Linder’s bail is set at more than $2 million dollars.
