White City pursuit prompts school “lock out”

0602 police carWhite City, Ore. – A police pursuit in White City prompted a precautionary “lock out” for Table Rock Elementary School Thursday afternoon.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said to men fled from a vehicle during a traffic stop that was being conducted near the school at around 2:45. Deputies contacted the school after the incident.

According to the JSCO, no students were in the school at the time of the lock out.

Deputies said the driver was located nearby and arrested on an outstanding warrant. The passenger has not been found.
