Will campaign staff shake-up save Trump?

NC_campaignam0817_1500x845(NBC News) — With a new management team and a new focus, Donald Trump will be in North Carolina Thursday to sway voters.

Hitting the campaign reset button again, new campaign manager Kellyanne Conway says she is urging Trump to stick to the issues.

“The advice I would give him is be authentic because that’s what Americans appreciate and we see in Hillary Clinton what happens when you are inauthentic,” Conway said.

Trump received his first national security briefing yesterday and while his advisers say it was professional, Trump still questioned the people in charge of the information.

Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton has been highlighting Trump’s campaign issues, hoping to take advantage of his missteps and continue her momentum.

“He can hire or fire anybody he wants from his campaign. They can make him read new words from a teleprompter. But he is still the same man who insults gold star families,” Clinton said.
