Woman accused of causing fatal car crash pleads guilty

WHITE IN COURT PICGrants Pass, Ore. — Breanna White, the woman accused of causing a fatal car crash on August 15, 2015, pleaded guilty on Friday to 22 charges, according to the Josephine County District Attorney’s Office. She faces at least 10 years behind bars. A date for White’s sentencing hearing has not been set.

Oregon State Police say White was driving a car on Gunnell road, when it hit a tree, ejecting four of the five passengers in the car. A girl also died as a result of injuries from the crash.

“If you look at all the charges, involving how many people were injured, and some of the other background information, that the community is safe, safer with Breanna White behind bars,” Turner said.

White was also involved in another car crash just a week prior. Police say three passengers were injured when White struck a fence.

Since the rollover crash last year, Breanna White has been hit with more charges including conspiracy and sex abuse.

White was already sentenced to 15 months for trying to get someone to burglarize her grandmother’s home to raise bail money.

White is scheduled to be sentenced for the 22 charges Thursday morning.
