Josephine County, Ore. — A head-on crash in the Applegate leaves a Josephine County woman dead.
Oregon State Police say they responded to a crash on Highway 238 near milepost 2 at around 6:00 on Tuesday night.
Police say preliminary information suggests a Suzuki SUV was traveling east when a westbound Ford Expedition crossed the centerline, and the two collided.
The Suzuki driver, 63-year-old Pamela Howard, was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the Ford, 33-year-old Murphy resident Kandice Garcia, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers say the investigation is ongoing.
