Woman reported missing while traveling from N. California to Oregon found dead

Troopers said the car she was driving was found down an embankment alongside Highway 199 near milepost 8 around 1:45 Monday afternoon. She was the only occupant of the vehicle

CHP investigators have not yet determined what caused the crash.

Humboldt County, Calif. – Deputies in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties are looking for a woman who was reported missing after she didn’t arrive at her destination.

According to the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office, 40-year-old Mary Lynn Dezern was believed to be driving a 2007 black Nissan 350Z from Humboldt County to Oregon. She did not arrive at her destination in Prospect.

Deputies describe Dezern as 5’2”, 130 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
