***UPDATE**** Yreka Police say the man is longer considered armed and dangerous.
Officers found the man’s gun in the street, and it appeared to have been run over by a car.
Police are still looking for him.

Yreka, Ca., — Yreka police are asking residents to be on alert.
A man accused of stealing a car is on the run, and could be armed and dangerous.
The suspect is described as a black man in his mid 20’s about 6-feet, 160 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants.
