Flood watch issued for most of Jackson County

Jackson County, Ore. – The National Weather Service office in Medford has issued a flood watch for a portion of southwest Oregon including most of Jackson County.

The watch includes the cities of Medford, Ashland, Butte Falls, Prospect, Rogue River and Ruch. The watch will remain in effect through late Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service said an additional inch of rain is expected through the night, and flooded roadways are possible. The rain might also cause streams and creeks to rise rapidly and cause minor flooding. Landslide and debris flows are possible.
