Unveiling Of New Santo Community Center Playground

Today more than 30 pre-schoolers got a chance to run around and have some fun on a brand new playground at the Santo Community Center.

After three years of raising more than $30,000, Medford Parks and Recreation unveiled the new equipment.

Kids who attend the preschool at the center say they’re excited. Lillian Lubina said “It’s really fun and me and my friend Maggie like it”

Phoenix-Talent School District Business Manager, Doug Spani, said “people understood what the need was when you tell them we’re fundraising for a playground. This is the picture that we wanted them to see and it’s what we got.”

The Medford Kiwanis Club donated $12,000, and the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation put in a $5,800 grant.
