Medford, Ore. — A man who police say was involved in a gang related shooting last September in west Medford is headed to prison.
Monday afternoon, Santiago Flores-Loveland pleaded guilty to riot. As part of a plea deal with prosecutors, the conspiracy charge against him was dropped.
Police say Flores-Loveland was with then-17-year-old Tyler Sandoval last September when Sandoval fired shots at an apartment complex near the corner of Clark and Narregan, nearly hitting at least one child.
Sandoval was charged as an adult and pleaded guilty to attempted murder in May. He’s spending the next 90 months behind bars.
Flores-Loveland will serve 19 months in prison followed by 2 years of post-prison supervision.
