Man pleads guilty after fatal Ashland crash

0407 MorlockMedford, Ore. — A Washington State man who police say was on LSD when he crashed his car and killed a passenger is sentenced to time behind bars.

The Jackson County District Attorney’s Office says 21-year-old Brandon Morlock pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and DUII in court on Thursday.

Ashland Police say Morlock was speeding in a van when he crashed into a utility pole. One passenger, 18-year-old Ryan Bowker, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

Morlock will face 6 years and 8 months behind bars, with 3 years of post-prison supervision.
