BREAKING: Reported shooting in Phoenix

711 body editedPhoenix, Ore. — UPDATE: Jackson County Sheriff Corey Falls says one suspect is in custody and police are still looking for persons of interest after a shooting on South Pacific Highway left one man dead Friday evening.

Police say it seems to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. Police were still on the scene late Friday night conducting operations at a nearby trailer park.

A body was lying on South Pacific Highway (HWY 99) in Phoenix after a reported shooting Friday night. It happened after 6 pm outside the 7-11. ODOT and police agencies immediately closed the highway near Rose Street. Multiple police agencies from across the Rogue Valley were on scene and are looking for the suspect or suspects. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.

Witnesses tells NBC5 News on scene that a fight at the 7-11 spilled out into the street where it ended with shots being fired and police are reviewing surveillance footage. Police have not been able to confirm this information but no one is being allowed in or out of the 7-11 at the time of this posting.
