Portland, Ore. — A not guilty verdict has been reached in all but one charge in the Malheur Wildlife Refuge case.

Six men and one woman were on trial. The trial centered on felony charges of conspiracy.

Prosecutors said the defendants kept federal workers from doing their jobs when they occupied the wildlife refuge in January and February.

The occupiers took over the refuge to protest federal land use policy. The judge now has to decide how to move forward.
