Care packages for families dealing with childhood cancer

Medford, Ore. — A family who lost their son to cancer at just nine years old is using their experience to help out families that are going through similar situations.

The Ethan Jostad Foundation is making holiday care packages to families who are affected by childhood cancer. Their goal is to bring smiles to kids battling cancer and their families as well. Each care package is different and catered to each families needs for the holidays.

“It just comes from love. We just want to make a difference and help people feel a little bit better during difficult times,” said Kim Jostad, Ethan Jostad Foundation.

“It affects the entire family and the dynamics of the whole entire family and that’s why we really try to help out not only that child but also their brothers and sisters,” said Liz Cope, Ethan Jostad Foundation.
