Boise, Idaho. – Albertsons and Safeway stores in Oregon, Washington, and northern Idaho are recalling numerous bakery products that could potentially be contaminated with Salmonella.
According to Safeway, the products were made by Dawn Food Products with dry milk powder that was recalled by Valley Milk Products LLC.
Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems.
So far no injuries or illnesses have been reported. The recall has been issued out of an abundance of caution.
The affected products were sold in bakery areas on or before December 15th, 2016. They have a “sell by” date of December 20, 2016 or earlier.
The products were sold in Oregon, Washington, and eight stores in northern Idaho. If you have any of the affected products, return them to the store or dispose of them.
