Blankets given to cancer patients at Asante

Medford, Ore. — More than a hundred local cancer patients are receiving a gift to lift their spirits tonight. Southern Oregon Subaru partnered with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to donate 120 blankets to oncology patients at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.

“The goal would be not only to provide a physical piece of comfort for them through this blanket but also that it serves as a reminder that we are here to care for them,” Katie Marks says.

“It just feels great,” Randy Nidalmia of Southern Oregon Subaru says, “there’s nothing like coming out here and seeing all the happy faces.”

The hospital began handing them out Thursday afternoon, to patients receiving treatment in their infusion center.
