Josephine County, Ore. – The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office say they’re still investigating after a body was found in the Illinois River near the Store Gulch Recreation Area, west of Selma.
The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police, and Josephine County Search and Rescue crews responded Saturday to a report they received at around 10:45 that morning of a body in the river.
The body was recovered, but authorities have not yet identified the person. Officers say the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when it becomes available.
