Caught on camera: Florida baby rescued from hot car

NC_hotcarrescue0608_1500x845Golden Gate City, Fla. (WBBH) — Firefighters in Golden Gate City, Florida broke the back window of a car Tuesday to save a baby accidentally locked inside.

Sharon Thoemke said she was shopping when she saw a commotion in the parking lot and starting recording video on her cell phone.

“I saw the fire truck and I saw firemen and some other people surrounding the car,” Thoemke said.

A crowd had gathered because there was an 8-month-old girl locked in a car.

“There was no breeze, it was sunny,” Thoemke said.
