Concert in the Oregon Caves

Oregon Caves, Ore. — The Oregon Caves celebrated the National Parks Services’ centennial birthday in a very special way.

Craig Chaquico, former singer/songwriter of Jefferson Starship performed for a small audience in the caves.

He says the national parks are a major influence in his music and wanted to give back to the places that have inspired him over the years.

“I got so much from the parks and all of this, it was kind of fun to let people know ‘here’s some of it, you can have it too. Listen to what we get to do here in these parks,'” explained Chaquico.

“The coolness of the cave mixing with the echos of the music, it just feels like you’re in a different place than you’ve ever been,” described concertgoer Nick Reynolds.

The Parks continue their 100th birthday celebration with free entrance to all national parks through Sunday.
