Facial reconstruction released for unidentified girl found in Josephine County

0831 Jane DoeJosephine County, Ore. – The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has been working with the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon State Medical Examiner to identify a young female who was found deceased 45 years ago in a wooded area off Redwood Highway in Josephine County.

A newly released facial reconstruction shows what the 14-25 year-old could have looked like.

NCMEC said Jane Annie Doe was wearing unique jewelry when she was found. She had a map in her pocket of northern California camp sites.

Isotope testing is also currently being done on Jane Annie Doe in the hopes that one more clue will lead to answers in this decades-long mystery.
