Medford, Ore. – Medford firefighters responded to a structure fire around 9:20 Friday morning in the 300 block of Hamilton Street. Crews arrived at the scene within minutes to find smoke coming from one side of the duplex.
According to Medford Fire-Rescue, the fire was under control within minutes. There were no injuries in the incident.
Firefighters said there was extensive smoke and fire damage to half of the duplex, but the other half only received minor smoke damage and was still able to be occupied after the fire. The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced family.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
