Fire danger lowers to “high”

0921-fire-dangerMedford, Ore. — Cooler temperatures and higher humidity will bring the fire danger level down to “high” on Thursday.

The Oregon Department of Forestry says some fire restrictions are still in place in Jackson and Josephine counties.

No debris burning, sky lanterns or fireworks are allowed. Campfires are only allowed in designated campgrounds. Chain saws and power driver machinery will now be allowed until 10 a.m. and after 8 p.m.
