First Rabies case of 2016

Grants Pass, Ore., — Health officials in Josephine County find their first Rabies case of 2016.

Public health officials say a bat found off Foothill Boulevard in Grants Pass tested positive for the disease.

The Oregon Health Authority reports that bats are the most common rabies carriers.

Often they will display odd behavior or flop around.
