Eugene, Ore. — A runner from Southern Oregon University will be running in Eugene Thursday night in hopes of making the U.S. Olympic Team.
Eric Avila, who is an SOU graduate, will run in the 1500 meter event Thursday night around 7:20.
Avila will be in the third heat of the event.
