Happy Valley tree house trespasser high on meth

0712 Treehouse 01Happy Valley, Ore. – Police arrested a man who was allegedly high on meth after he was found trespassing in a Happy Valley resident’s tree house.

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a trespasser in an undeveloped lot on the 9000 block of S.E. Eastview Drive at around 4:25 Monday evening.

Deputies said when they arrived they found 40-year-old Troy Miller in a tree house. Behavioral health specialists and hostage negotiators were called to the scene after Miller refused to come down.

Police said they negotiated with Miller for nearly two hours. He finally came down for a bottle of water and was taken into custody without injury.

Miller was charged with possession of methamphetamine, resisting arrest, and criminal trespass.
