Judge questions search that yielded 113 pounds of pot

Klamath Falls, Ore. — A Klamath County Judge is questioning whether state troopers had probable cause to search a professional cellist’s car for marijuana.

Julliard-trained David Huckaby of Minnesota was pulled over in February for speeding in Bly.

During the stop, state police found 113 pounds of marijuana in Huckaby’s car.

Attorney Phil Studenberg said a judge told attorneys Wednesday she would not allow the evidence to be submitted at trial.

The state can still appeal the judge’s ruling.
