Overland Park, Kan. (KSHB) — A Kansas police officer has been fired after threatening a Texas woman’s young daughter on Facebook.
LaNaydra Williams lives in Dallas, where five police officers were ambushed and killed Thursday night during an anti-violence protest.
Williams says an Overland Park, Kansas police officer whom she’s never met commented on a photo of her 5-year-old daughter shortly after the shootings.
His comment read “we’ll see how much her life matters soon… Better be careful leaving your info open where she can be found… Hold her close tonight… It’ll be the last time.”
“For this guy to just come out of nowhere, just being disrespectful. How can you be an officer? How, how? That’s unacceptable for a police officer, for anyone, but especially for a police officer” Williams said.
Overland Park Police say a criminal investigation into the incident is underway.
