Central Point, Ore. — Central Point Police are warning people about a computer scam going around.
Police say people are calling claiming to be from a computer company. The scammers say there is an issue affecting the computer system they need to fix and need your information to do so.
Police say the scammers often say they are from Microsoft or a computer maintenance or repair business.
Police say not to give information to these callers and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
