CHP K9’s get special training

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif —California Highway Patrol Northern Division Air Operations says it’s always a great day when it gets to work with dogs.

Saturday the crew of H-16 got to train with some of the K9s from the Shasta County Search and Rescue team.

It helped familiarize them with the helicopter while the engine is running.

It says training is a big step in preparing the dogs for fieldwork.
