Coos Bay family continues long time holiday tradition

COOS BAY, Ore. — A Coos Bay family is stepping up, to keep a longtime holiday tradition going, while giving back to a non-profit.

The Lamar Family, has been working to keep spirits up this holiday season, with it’s annual light show.

The show, in its 8th year, features new smart lights and around 15,000 bulbs.

The family has been preparing all year for the shows, and says they have spent over 1,000 hours working on it.

This year, the family is asking for donations to support non-profit, Coos County Youth Sports.

“They’re an amazing organization, they are all about the kids in our community keeping them active, keeping them positive. We just try and spread a little bit of the cheer over to them, you know they are a great organization,” says Andrew Lamar.

The shows run seven days a week, from 5 to 10p.m. at 590 Montgomery Avenue in Coos Bay.
