Fremont-Winema National Forest hiring for temporary positions

Klamath Falls, Ore. –The Fremont-Winema National Forest began taking applications on Tuesday to fill over 100 temporary, seasonal positions.

Applications will be taken through January 12th for forest service positions in Klamath and Lake counties.

“We have about 118 positions, that runs the gamut from working in fire, timber, archaeology, natural resources, recreation,” said Eric Hupp from the Fremont-Winema National Forest.

The job openings are listed on the Fremont-Winema website. Applications for those jobs must be made through www.usajobs.gov.

A second phase of applications will be taken in early February. While the jobs are temporary, they offer an opportunity to get federal experience and could lead to a permanent position later on.
