Avista customers in Southern Oregon can expect a lower gas bill this Winter.
As the Oregon Public Utility Commission approves a 6.5 percent price cut for Jackson and Josephine counties on Monday.
The new rate will begin in November, but come January, the price cut will drop to 6.7 percent.
Avista says a larger reserve of natural gas from Canada and the Rocky Mountain region made the changes possible.
