St. Louis, Mo. — (KSDK) A St. Louis, Missouri woman is in jail, accused of keeping her two young children locked in closets.
Monique Latrice Winston, 27, is charged with two counts of kidnapping, four counts of abuse/neglect of a child, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to the probable cause statement, police were called Wednesday for a report of children left unattended.
When police arrived they heard kids screaming inside the apartment.
Nobody answered when they knocked, so they entered the home and found a 5-year-old girl and her 3-year-old brother locked in separate closets.
