Klamath Falls Man Requires S.W.A.T. Team, Faces Judge Today

The man who Klamath Falls police say forced them to call in the S.W.A.T. team over the weekend will go before a judge later on Monday.

Police say 48 year old Mark Douglas McQueen barricaded himself in his home on California Avenue Saturday night.

The search for McQueen began when his girlfriend told police that he had assaulted her.

She was transported to Sky Lakes Medical center for her injuries.

After hours of negotiating– S.W.A.T. team members entered the home with a warrant for his arrest.

McQueen was arrested without incident and was charged with first-degree kidnapping and second-degree assault.

He is being held in the Klamath county jail on $200,000 bail.
