In the Illinois Valley, fire crews are trying to get ahold and fight the Labrador Fire.
Smoke from the Douglas Complex Fire made it difficult for crews to get the fire Saturday.
As of the latest update they said thier biggest priority Saturday would be to look for opportunities to create indirect fire lines….
The fire has grown to about 400 acres and is expected to remain active near the top of the ridges.
The fire is located south of the Illinois River and downstream of Oak Flat.
No evacuation orders are in effect tonight, but officials remind residents in the area to be prepared just in case.
The Labrador Fire is burning in the same area asthe Biscuit Fire burned nearly 11 year ago.
The fire destroyed nearly 500,000 acres and is considered one of the largest wildfires in Oregon state history.
Officials from the the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest say that the conditions for both the Biscuit and Labrador Fire are relatively similar.
The biggest concerns for the fire right now is that snags could catch fire in steep locations and roll down those hills and cause even more fires.
