MPD searching for suspected thieves

Update (02/26 5:10pm) — Police are reporting Matthew Grigsby is in custody. MPD is still searching for Matthew Andress and the stolen equipment.


 

Medford, Ore. – Medford Police are searching for two men suspected of stealing $12,000 worth of blasting equipment.

According to officers, a vehicle was broken into on Tuesday morning at the Ramada Inn on Biddle road in Medford. Along with the blasting equipment, a gas card was also stolen from the vehicle. The suspects later used the gas card and, and were subsequently caught on camera.

Officers identified the suspects as Matthew Grigsby and Matthew Andress. Police say the two men are familiar to officers, and they currently have warrants out for unrelated crimes. Grigsby is wanted for contempt of court, and is on probation for a drug offense. Andress has a warrant for a parole violation; the original charge was also a drug offense.
