Obama on ISIS: “We don’t have a strategy yet”

Washington D.C. — (NBC News) With pressure mounting to deal with ISIS in Syria and Russia in Ukraine, President Obama says the United States isn’t ready yet.

“I don’t want to put the cart before the horse. We don’t have a strategy yet,” the president said Thursday when discussing the threat posted by ISIS.

The U.S. has hit more than 100 ISIS targets over the past few weeks in Iraq, but in Syria where ISIS is strongest, President Obama says it’s too soon to order airstrikes.

He’s asking the Pentagon for options and sending Secretary of State John Kerry back to the Middle East to get other countries on board.
