Police: Man Poses as US Marshal To Defraud Hospital

Police arrested Donald Lee Anderson of Central Point after finding body armor, a badge and articles of clothing that resemble a a US marshals outfit.

On January 10th an RVMC employee was looking through public Jackson County jail photographs online and recognized the man who months earlier entered the hospital dressed as a US Marshal claiming he needed medication for anxiety. Police say he claimed to be transporting a known fugitive when it turns out the man is not a US Marshal.

Police say Anderson is a well-known scammer who has in the past perpetrated businesses through false injury claims and even posed as state worker showing up to car accidents only to steal items from off-guard drivers.
