Tip A Cop Night At Applebee’s

Local cops were waiting tables Thursday night at Applebee’s in support of the special Olympics.

21 Applebee’s locations in Oregon hosted ‘tip a cop’ night Thursday.

In Medford and Klamath Falls cops could be found seating customers and pouring coffee, earning tips to benefit special Olympians.

Eric Thomas with Special Olympics Oregon said “It’s always good for the community and it’s great for exposure for the athletes and it helps our athletes go to various events. It helps them with uniforms and all the equipment that they need to compete.”

About 7 law enforcement officials took part in Medford.

In past years ‘tip a cop’ has raised over a thousand dollars for the special Olympics program.
