Two passenger planes encountered problems on the West Coastover the weekend forcing one to make an emergency landing.
Passengers were stuck on a Las Vegas bound flight Sunday after the airliner reportedly slid off the runway and got stuck in the mud. It took nearly two-and-a-half hours before passengers were able to deplane.
Passengers say thepilot made a perfect landing but the plane didn’t seem to stop in time, running over several runway lights in the process of trying to stop.
Justdays before the incident, a trip to Seattle from Portland, Oregon turned terrifying for passengers on a Horizon Airlines flight when the engine of the plane stopped mid-air.
Passengers took cell phone video of the propeller coming to a stop after the plane had lifted for take-off. The pilot quickly turned the plane around and made an emergency landing.
Both cases are being investigated. No one was injured in either incident.
