A Washington state mother and her young daughter are lucky to be alive this morning after a car crashes into their bedroom wall while they were sleeping.
It happened overnight– Rebecah Lakman was fast asleep with her daughter in a crib right next to her when a drunken driver slammed into her apartment, throwing her daughter’s crib across the room.
The driver fled, but was arrested a short time later by police and charged with D-U-I.
Lakman says she is grateful that she and her daughter were not hurt.
