Dallas, Texas — A Rogue Valley sergeant is one of the hundreds of law enforcement officers who made their way to Dallas this week to pay tribute to the fallen officers.
The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety said an anonymous Grants Pass resident paid all the expenses for a department member to attend a funeral.
Sergeant Justin Dekruger attended Officer Patricio Zamarripa’s service on his own time. The procession for the officer took more than 2 hours to cover about 24 miles.
Dekruger said he was honored to attend.
