Man arrested for sex crimes against juvenile girl

0517 James Justice MugGrants Pass, Ore. – A 19-year-old registered sex offender is behind bars after police say he exchanged sexually explicit pictures with an 11-year-old girl, and later tried to meet with her to have sex.

The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety said that Grants Pass resident James M. Justice had been exchanging sexually explicit images with the juvenile girl via Facebook Messenger since January. Detectives said they learned Justice was a registered sex offender.

Police said on May 16th, Justice arrived at a Grants Pass convenience store where he believed he was going to meet the juvenile girl for sexual relations. Detectives were staged in the area arrested Justice and transported him to the police station for an interview.

Following the interview, Justice was arrested and charged with luring of a minor, attempted rape, using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, and online sexual corruption of a child.
