Medford resident, Olympic gold medalist Dick Fosbury dead at 76

MEDFORD, Ore.– Medford resident and 1968 Olympic gold medalist Dick Fosbury has died.

His publicist wrote on Instagram, he passed away after a short battle with lymphoma.

He was best known for revolutionizing the high jump with his signature ‘Fosbury Flop’ and winning a gold medal at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico.

He was 76.
