MFR runway back open after snowfall

Medford, Ore. — It’s business as usual at the airport, after snow closed the runway Tuesday night. The director of the Rogue Valley-International Medford Airport said they closed the runway due to heavy snow.

Crews spent the night and morning plowing and blowing the area. Now, passengers are able to come and go.

“We’ve cleared the runway and now mother nature will take over and help it run off the rest of the way,” said Bern Case, director of the Rogue Valley International Medford Airport.

Because of the runway closure, they’re still off-schedule. If you’re flying out tonight or tomorrow, you should check with your airline to make sure your flight is on time.
