Medford, Ore. –Medford Police are warning Rogue Valley residents of a scary scam happening now in the area. They say it begins with a phone call, with a person screaming in the background and a man claiming they have your relative, and will kill them unless you pay up. Police say not only are people falling for it, but it’s been pretty disturbing for those on the receiving end of the call. They say you should hang up if you get a call like that, like all scams, it’s about education.
