Mt. Ashland teams up with ACCESS for “free” ski day

Mt. Ashland, Ore. — Hit the slopes and help feed the hungry at the Mt. Ashland Ski Area this April 2.

On Sunday, April 2, anyone who brings along five cans of food to donate to ACCESS will receive a free lift ticket.

Philip Yates, nutrition program director for ACCESS, said, “We encourage everyone to come out, enjoy the day, save money, and take advantage of one of southern Oregon’s best recreational resources in downhill skiing and snowboarding.”

To get a free lift ticket, bring non-perishable food items to the ACCESS service truck parked in the Mt. Ashland parking lot near the lodge.

The all-day lift tickets, typically costing between $39 and $49 on the weekend, are good from 9:00 a.m. until 4 p.m.
