Nearby death tied to S.C. elementary school shooting

nc_scshooting180928_1500x845Townville, S.C. (NBC News) — A teenage gunman is in custody after wounding a teacher and two students at a South Carolina elementary school.

The shooting was reported at Townville Elementary school shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the Anderson County Coroner the students’ injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Authorities have confirmed that a death several miles away from the school is connected, and that they believe the victim there is the suspect’s father.
