New fire breaks out Tuesday at Panther Gulch, near Williams

UPDATE 8:30 p.m. — The fire is now estimated at 25 acres.


UPDATE 7:40 p.m. — Several resources from the MP97 fire are diverting to this fire. No evacuations or road closures at this time.

WILLIAMS, Ore. – Air tankers are dumping water on a fire that began burning Tuesday evening near Williams. The fire is located in the Panther Gulch area.  ODF officials say it’s burning 7 acres. They say crews are on their way to support the work being done from the sky.
